Carlos Pintado (1974) is a Cuban–American writer, playwright and award-winning poet. His book Habitación a oscuras received the prestigious Sant Jordi's International Prize fand his book El azar y los tesoros was one of the finalists for Spain's Adonais Prize.
Highly sought after as a soloist, chamber artist, and educator, mezzo-soprano Misty Leah Bermudez has captivated critics and audiences alike with her "ravishing" voice and "compelling" concert performances (South Florida Sun Sentinel, Palm Beach Arts Paper). Residents of South Florida will recognize Ms. Bermudez as a founding and current member of the Grammy-nominated vocal ensemble Seraphic Fire. A versatile vocalist, Ms. Bermudez has an active career as a concert soloist, chamber artist and operatic actress.
Mara Beckman received her Bachelor of Arts in Piano from UW-Stevens Point and received her Master’s Degree in Vocal Accompanying and Coaching from UW-Milwaukee. She has studied with Jeffry Peterson, Judit Jaimes, Katja Phillabaum and Michael Keller. Currently she is an instructor of piano at the Wausau Conservatory of Music. In addition to teaching, Ms. Beckman is a freelance performer throughout the Midwest.
